Free legal live TV or a paid IPTV login
Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, PBS and CBC Gem compared with a WhatsApp login for Canada and the United States. No ranking and no channel count.

Free legal television and a paid IPTV login solve different problems. This page is for readers in Canada and the United States. It does not rank either choice, it does not show stars, and it does not publish a channel count.
Who should use free legal TV, and who should test a login?
Use a free ad supported app when you want thematic channels, films and news that the app itself lists, with no card. Test a paid login when you need to know whether a particular evening holds on your device. Do not assume either option includes a named league. This page is not legal advice.
If the match must be guaranteed, open the rights holder app and check the law where you live. The descriptions below were checked against the services own sites on 15 October 2026. Line ups change by country and by week. The app on your television is the current list, not this paragraph.
What do the free legal services offer?
Each row below is what the service says about itself, checked on 15 October 2026, plus a limit this page will not cross. Lineups change by country. The app on your television is the current list. This page does not rank the services or publish a channel count.
| Service | What the service itself says | Where you open it | What this page will not claim |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pluto TV | Free and ad supported. Pluto calls the service legal. No card on their sign up. | The Pluto TV app from a store, or the website | That a named league is included |
| Samsung TV Plus | Free ad supported channels in the Samsung app on Samsung televisions | The Samsung TV Plus app on the set | That every country shows the same channels |
| PBS | Public television streams in the United States | pbs.org and the PBS app | That every local station is in the app |
| CBC Gem | CBC streaming for Canada. Some titles are free in Canada and some ask for a TV provider | gem.cbc.ca and the CBC Gem app | That a league pass is included |
| France.tv | Live and replay from France Tรฉlรฉvisions | france.tv and its apps | That it replaces Canadian or US channels |
Pluto own description, including the words free and legal, is on pluto.tv. Samsung TV Plus in the United States is described on Samsung's TV Plus page. PBS is at pbs.org. CBC Gem is at gem.cbc.ca. France Tรฉlรฉvisions live and replay, useful for French speakers who want those public channels, is at france.tv.
Install those apps from the store on the device or from the service own site. This page does not link to an unofficial file. A generic Android box or a Fire TV Stick can carry the store listing. The setup notes for a box that is not one of these apps are in MAG, Formuler and Android boxes.
What do the free services leave out?
They leave out whatever they have not licensed. Thematic channels and a library of films are the common shape. A full cable grid in Toronto, Montrรฉal, or a US city is not the promise. Some free apps mention sports. That is not a named league. Open the app and look.
If the match is missing, the free app has answered the question. A paid login does not answer it by marketing either. IPTV 6 does not claim broadcast rights and does not name a feed. The 24 hour trial is how you see what plays on your device. No card is required to start. In Canada the 1 month plan is CA$19.99 for one screen. In the United States it is $14.99 for one screen. Six and twelve month plans include two screens. A channel count is not published.
Readers who want channels from another country should read IPTV for expats and What is IPTV? before they pay anyone. The plan table is on Compare plans and the figures are on Pricing.
How do you judge whether a paid login is lawful?
Look for rights, not for a slogan. The official app of a broadcaster is one thing. A username sent in a chat is another. Whether that second thing is allowed depends on the law where you watch, in Canada or the United States. This site is not a law firm. It does not publish cases or dates.
If you are unsure, do not pay. Use the free app you already checked, or the rights holder app. A VPN does not make an unlicensed stream lawful. It is not required to receive a login from this site, and it is not sold here as a way around a block.
How do you test before you decide?
Install a player from the store on the device, then message WhatsApp at +44 7307 410512 with the city and the device. Ask for the 24 hour trial only when the player is open, so the clock measures the picture. The login stays on that thread. A playlist address is not on this page.
English readers start at the free trial page. Readers who want the thread in French start at essai IPTV 24 h. The number is the same. A paid order can be refunded within 7 days on that thread, with the order number.
The speed of the home network is a separate question, answered with Netflix and YouTube public tables in Internet speed for IPTV. This page will not call any option first, and it will not show a star rating.
