In this guide you will install an IPTV player from Google Play, add your IPTV-6 playlist with Xtream Codes or an M3U URL and turn on the EPG guide. Open Google Play on your device and search for "TiviMate" (Android TV, Google TV, Shield, Mi Box) or "IPTV Smarters Pro" (phones and tablets). Press Install. If Google Play is not available on your box, download the official APK from the app's website, open it with a file manager and confirm Install when Android asks to allow installs from that source.
Launch TiviMate. On the first screen press Add playlist. You will see three options: M3U playlist, Xtream Codes login and Stalker portal. Choose Xtream Codes login; it is the fastest way to get channels, VOD and the EPG guide in a single step.
Type the details from your IPTV-6 welcome email:
http://your-server-url (include the port if your email shows one)your_usernameyour_passwordPress Next. TiviMate shows the number of channels and VOD items found, asks for a playlist name (type "IPTV-6") and then loads everything. Leave Load VOD switched on if you want movies and series in the app.
If you prefer M3U, choose M3U playlist in the Add playlist screen and paste your M3U link from the welcome email into the Playlist URL field. Press Next, give the playlist a name and finish. Then open Settings → Playlists → your playlist → EPG source and add the EPG URL from your email so the guide shows programmes. On a phone you can copy the link from your email app and long-press the field to paste.
Open IPTV Smarters Pro, accept the terms and choose Login with Xtream Codes API. Enter any name, then your_username, your_password and http://your-server-url in the server field. Press ADD USER. The app opens on the dashboard with Live TV, Movies, Series and EPG. To use M3U instead, pick Load Your Playlist or File/URL → M3U URL and paste the link.
In TiviMate press the Menu button (or long-press OK on the remote) to open the sidebar, then choose TV guide. Programmes appear once the EPG finishes downloading, usually within a minute. Long-press a channel to add it to Favourites or to change its group. In IPTV Smarters Pro the guide is under EPG and you can star a channel to add it to favourites.
In TiviMate go to Settings → Playback and set the decoder to Hardware and the buffer size to Medium or Large if you see stutter. In IPTV Smarters Pro open Settings → Player Selection and keep the built-in player; switch to Exo Player only if a stream refuses to open. Both apps let you set a default aspect ratio and audio track per channel.
Check that the server address starts with http:// and includes the port if your email shows one. Remove any spaces at the end of the username and password. If it still fails, test the same login in a browser on a phone: the server URL followed by /player_api.php?username=your_username&password=your_password must return text, not an error.
Run a speed test on the device: you need 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Prefer Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, close background apps and increase the buffer in TiviMate → Settings → Playback. Our buffering fix guide covers every cause.
With Xtream Codes the EPG is loaded automatically; go to Settings → EPG and press Update. With an M3U playlist you must add the EPG URL from your welcome email under Settings → Playlists → EPG source. Check the time offset in Settings → EPG if programmes are shifted. More: IPTV EPG not working.
Some cheap Android boxes are not certified for Google Play. Download the APK from the app's official website, allow installs from your browser or file manager under Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps, and install it manually.
The channel uses an audio codec your box does not decode in hardware. In TiviMate open Settings → Playback → Decoder and switch to Software, or switch the audio passthrough setting off. In IPTV Smarters Pro try Exo Player under Settings → Player Selection.
The free version of TiviMate lets you add one playlist with the full guide and playback. TiviMate Premium (a small yearly fee) adds recording, multiple playlists, favourites management and catch-up. IPTV Smarters Pro is completely free.

A VPN is not required to use IPTV-6. Some internet providers throttle video traffic at peak hours, and in that case a VPN can improve stability, but try without one first.
