On Samsung press the Home button and go to Settings → Support → About This TV to see the model and Tizen version. On LG press the Settings button, then All Settings → General → About This TV. Install any pending software update first. Sony TVs run Android TV or Google TV: press Home and look for the Google Play Store icon; if you see it, use our Android guide instead.
On Samsung press Home, select Apps and use the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top right to type "IPTV Smarters". On LG press Home, open the LG Content Store (called Apps on newer models), select the search icon and type "IPTV Smarters". Select IPTV Smarters Pro in the results and press Install. It is free.
Open IPTV Smarters Pro from the app row on the home screen. Accept the terms of use and on the welcome screen choose Login with Xtream Codes API. This method downloads your live channels, movies, series and the EPG guide in one go, so it is the one we recommend on Smart TVs.
Use the remote or the on-screen keyboard to fill in:

If you prefer M3U, choose Load Your Playlist or File/URL on the welcome screen, select M3U URL, type a name and paste the M3U link from your welcome email. After it loads, open Settings → EPG and enter the EPG URL from the same email so the guide is filled in. Read M3U vs Xtream Codes if you are not sure which to pick.
If IPTV Smarters Pro is not in your TV's store, install SmartOne IPTV or Smart IPTV from the same store. When you open the app it shows a MAC address on screen (for example 00:1A:79:xx:xx:xx). Write it down. On a phone or computer open the app's activation page (linked in the app), pay the one-time activation fee, enter the MAC address and paste your M3U URL in the playlist field. Save, then restart the app on the TV: your channels appear within a minute. Keep the same MAC address if you ever reinstall the app.
In IPTV Smarters Pro select Live TV to browse groups by country or genre, Movies and Series for VOD and EPG for the guide. Press the OK button while watching to see the channel list, and use the coloured buttons on the remote to jump between groups. Add your regular channels to Favourites so they appear first. If the picture stutters, connect the TV by Ethernet or move the router closer.
App availability depends on the country of the TV and its software version. Update the TV software first and search again. If it is still missing, install SmartOne IPTV or Smart IPTV (step 6) or use a Fire TV Stick with our Firestick guide.
Check the server URL: it must start with http:// and include the port if your email shows one. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. Some TVs add a space when you press OK twice on the keyboard, so retype the fields. Also check our status page for scheduled maintenance.
Smart TVs have weak Wi-Fi chips. Connect the TV with an Ethernet cable or use the 5 GHz band with the router close by. Make sure no other device is downloading and restart the TV once a week to clear the memory. Full checklist: fix IPTV buffering.
Compare the MAC address on the TV screen with the one you typed on the activation page; a single wrong character is enough. Make sure you uploaded the M3U URL (not the Xtream Codes login) and wait up to two minutes before restarting the app.
With Xtream Codes login open Settings → EPG and press Update EPG. With M3U you need to add the EPG URL from your welcome email under Settings → EPG. If the guide shows the wrong times, adjust the time zone in the TV settings. Details: IPTV EPG not working.
Change the player under Settings → Player Selection (choose the native player or Exo). On older Samsung models disable Auto Motion Plus in the picture settings. If only a few channels are affected, they use a codec your TV cannot decode; try the same channel in a different quality (SD/HD variant).
