Written by IPTV-6 Editorial Team 6 min read
Italian TV has consolidated around a few big names, but following a season still means juggling them. DAZN holds every Serie A match, Sky has the Champions League and the bulk of Formula 1 and MotoGP, and Rai and Mediaset carry the free-to-air schedules. Between those and the film channels, a household that watches football, motorsport and films is paying three or four bills. IPTV brings the same channels into a single app. This guide explains what IPTV in Italy includes in 2026, what it costs in euros, how to set it up on the devices Italian homes use, and, because Italy has the strictest enforcement regime in Europe, exactly what the legal situation is.
The Italian channel line-up
The IPTV-6 Italy package contains roughly 310 Italian channels within the 25,000+ channel library. The international library is included too, so Italian subscribers also get Sky Sports UK, beIN, ESPN and the rest.
Rai, Mediaset and the free-to-air networks
Rai 1, Rai 2, Rai 3, Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4, La7, TV8, NOVE, Rai 4 and Iris are present in HD, along with Sky Uno and Sky Atlantic IT for the premium series.
Regional
Rai 3 regionale, Telelombardia, Canale 21, TeleNorba, TRM and Rai Sรผdtirol cover regional news and local programming, including German-language programming for South Tyrol.

Best devices for IPTV in Italy
Fire TV Stick
The Fire TV Stick is the most popular IPTV device in Italy, sells for around โฌ40 and runs IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate and XCIPTV. The Fire TV Stick guide covers the Downloader method.
Smart TVs
Samsung and LG sets have IPTV Smarters Pro and similar apps in their stores. The Smart TV guide covers both platforms.
Android TV and the TIMvision Box

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
IPTV Smarters Pro and GSE Smart IPTV are on the App Store; the iOS guide covers all three devices.
Legality in Italy: read this section
IPTV as a technology is legal in Italy. TIMvision, Sky Glass, DAZN and RaiPlay all deliver television over IP. The legal question is whether a distributor holds the rights to the content it streams.
Italy has the strictest enforcement regime of any market we serve, and it is important to be honest about it. Law 93/2023 gave AGCOM the power to order ISPs to block unauthorised streams within 30 minutes through the Piracy Shield platform, which has been in operation since early 2024 and is used heavily during Serie A matches. The same law introduced fines for end users who knowingly access unauthorised streams, and in 2024 and 2025 Italian authorities began issuing those fines. This is different from the UK, US or Germany, where enforcement is directed almost entirely at operators.
What that means in practice:
- Choose a provider that is transparent about its service, offers a trial, publishes its status and answers support.
- Avoid "lifetime" plans, gift-card-only payment and anonymous social-media sellers, which are the services enforcement is aimed at.
- Check the current legal position, or seek advice, before subscribing if you are unsure how the rules apply to your situation.
IPTV-6 does not claim to hold Italian broadcast rights; our commitment is to a stable, well-supported service and honest information so you can make your own decision. Is IPTV legal? covers Italy alongside the other markets, and IPTV ISP blocking and VPNs explains what a blocking order looks like from the viewer's side and what a VPN does and does not change.
Italian-language support
Support is available in Italian and English from 08:00 to midnight CET, seven days a week, by live chat and email. The questions Italian subscribers ask most:
- The EPG is one hour off. Set the time zone to Europe/Rome in your app.
- Which channel has the match? Every Serie A game is on DAZN 1 or DAZN 2; the Champions League is on Sky Sport Calcio or Sky Sport Uno. The EPG shows the exact channel.
- Can I watch Rai from abroad? Yes. The same login works anywhere with internet, which is why Italians abroad use it; see watching home TV abroad.
The status page shows live server health and the FAQ covers the rest.
Ten-minute setup
- Start the 24-hour trial from the Italy page.
- Find your Xtream Codes details in the welcome email.
- Install a player using the relevant install guide.
- Log in with Xtream Codes so the EPG and VOD load.
- Set the time zone to Europe/Rome.
- Add Rai 1, Canale 5, DAZN 1, Sky Sport Uno and Sky Sport F1 to favourites.
- Test on a match night, then choose a plan.
